Padrinos
Art Production & Illustration
As a part of JASTOR Brand Imageneers, under the creative direction of brand visionary, Jason Torres, I assisted with the production, illustration, creative copy and brand book design for Padrinos, a family owned Cuban Restaurant.
Since Padrinos is a family-owned and has been since the 1930s, the team felt strongly that this brand should go back to their roots. We recreated by the hand the original sign in the flagship store that started all back in Cuba.
To maintain that connection with their roots, our Creative Direction felt we needed illustrations to portray classic Cuban things, in a modern and fun way. Below you can see how those sketches developed in my sketchbook and how we applied them into patterns that convey the brand language.
All that sketching paved the way to developing a concise packaging system that utilized old family photographs combined with fresh new imagery and creative copy. "Plata-NO? more Plata-YES PLEASE."
In addition to assisting with producing artwork and illustrations at JASTOR, I also had the privilege of developing Brandbooks that specify the brand guidelines and overall style of the brand:
