I am a designer because I value clear communication. In an increasingly global market, miscommunication due to a language barrier can lead to a monumental divide between people and ideas. Anything that is printed, broadcasted, or displayed on the web has to deliver a clear message. Being a graphic designer means communicating messages in ways they can be understood. Visual communication is one of the most powerful languages because it transcends barriers that words alone cannot.
Illustration combined with typography is my primary form of image-making because it is hands-on, and allows the most control from start to finish. The combination of intricate images with intentional typographic choices is what defines my work as a designer. My design philosophy is to create understanding where there is none through the use of image and type.
Thank you!
